Search for the Ziebels Handfish Documentary
We’re fuelling renowned underwater photographer and aspiring filmmaker Matt Testoni on his mission to rediscover the thought to be extinct ‘Ziebels Handfish’. With a grant from IMAS, Matt is putting both his skills as a marine biologist and diver to good use as he navigates caves and shorelines of Tasmania looking for this special species of handfish. Total Dive Solutions is contributing by covering the costs of vessel fuel for Matt’s documentary. Good luck Matt!

Surfrider Tasmania Summer Series Beach Clean-ups
We jumped at the opportunity to work with the Surfrider Tasmania team. Total Dive Solutions proudly supplied all the safety gear needed and covered the cost of disposing marine debris collected for the Surfrider beach clean-up events hosted over summer 2022-23. Great work Surfrider, thanks for helping to keep our coastlines clean.

Southern Trades Cancer Council Relay for Life Fishing Competition
The annual Southern Trades Relay for Life fishing competition is an opportunity for local tradies to get on the water with their work crew and enjoy the best of what Tasmania’s coast has to offer, while raising money for the awesome Relay for Life Cancer Council charity event. We happily supported the event by donating both a $200 Stormy Seas voucher and a $200 Go Dive voucher for a couple of lucky crew who managed to snag some of the best looking seafood. See you all again in 2023!

Disabled Surfers Association Tasmania
We’ve been long time volunteer participants in the Disabled Surfer’s Association events both here in Tasmania and in Victoria. DSA makes surfing accessible by creating an environment that’s safe and inclusive for those who may not otherwise be able to get on a board. Total Dive Solutions has recently donated $250.00 to DSA Tasmania to help with funding for their new mobile trailer. We will be at the next 2024 event in the water. Love your work team!

Mermaid's Dive Against Debris Womens Dive Day
This year we supported the annual Tasmanian Mermaids Dive Against Debris event for PADI Womens Dive Day at the Bellerieve Marina. Total Dive Solutions participated by providing on water support in a vessel where our team worked with divers to pull up heavy items from the sea floor. We also donated a $200 voucher for Go Dive Tasmania for one lucky diver to kit themselves out with some more dive gear. Bridge then stuck around and gave a talk at the ‘Deco Stop’ event where she discussed all things women in commercial diving. Thanks for having us, Mermaids! See you next year.

Northern Pacific Sea Star Eradication
Through our work with Go Dive, co-owner Bridge has been leading citizen science cleanup dives over the last three years working towards eradicating the Northern Pacific Sea Star in Hobart, which is considered an alien or invasive species. We’ve harnessed a keen community of recreational divers and shown how working together can drive change in our local ocean ecosystems. Thanks for showing up at 6am to get in the water all - and for staying for a cuppa.
